Funny enough, Google AI is insisting at present that meat from cattle infected with bluetongue is safe for human consumption.

More than google say it isn’t a problem for human consumption.

“No, BTV cannot infect people.”

https://agriculture.vic.gov.au/biosecurity/animal-diseases/important-animal-diseases/bluetongue-virus/bluetongue-virus-factsheet

“Bluetongue can be deadly for domestic ruminants such as sheep, cattle and goats. It does not affect humans or the safety of animal meat or milk.”

https://www.thecattlesite.com/news/poland-reports-bluetongue-case-in-cattle

“There is no evidence that bluetongue virus can cause any illness in humans....”

https://www.cfsph.iastate.edu/Factsheets/pdfs/bluetongue.pdf

So there is a question as to the safety of the meat, but it is a question and a number of “experts” have differing opinions.
