We now have a situation where entire programs are staffed by hack Mann clones that make Bill Murray's Ghost Buster character Dr Peter Venkman look like a Nobel prize winner by comparison

You are so right about the research community's demand for conformity. It's not science! I remember the genius Michael Crichton writing and speaking about "Environmentalism as Religion" back in the late 90s and early 00s. He died too young.

As for Obama's proposed improvements to NASA, it speaks of his stunning intellectual deficits and arrogance.
