Like him or not, Belichick is part of football coaching royalty. His father (Steve) coaching at Navy, his relationship with Nick Saban, and Bill Parcells, and many more. Including Tom Brady, and countless great players who he coached to Super Bowl victories.

Hardly. His defenses shut down many a prolific offense, and his game plans as DC for the Giants are in the Hall of Fame.

For example, Brady had nothing to do with shutting down the Greatest Show on Turf, or holding the 2018 Rams to 3 points - and many exceptional accomplishments in between.

He also did a very good job resurrecting the Browns to a Superbowl favorite before Modell torpedoed the last season with his move to Baltimore which leaked shortly into the season.
