Maine’s Democrat governor, Janet Mills, is demanding a meeting with President Trump by using the shooting by immigration agents in Minnesota to highlight her anti-ICE stance.
Mills posted her “letter” to President Trump on her social media, in which she demanded the federal government stop enforcing federal immigration laws in her state.
“In response to Federal agents killing another person in Minnesota, I have requested a meeting with the President of the United States and demanded that his Administration immediately withdraw ICE agents from Maine,” she wrote.
She attached her letter to the president, in which decries the “weaponization of Federal law enforcement.”

How is that these sanctuary states think they dictate federal law? Would they like to secede? It would be fine with me if they did.

I don't think it means what she imagines it means.
Law enforcement is what's happening, not 'weaponized' law enforcement.
If the dems hadn't induced, invited and paid royally to bring in foreign invaders, criminals, gang members and the mentally ill by the millions, tens of thousands of ICE wouldn't have to have stepped up law enforcement.
Don't "demand" an end to deportations, because "demands" and temper tantrums is not how we make law, or repeal laws that were previously made.
If you want to end deportations, then enact legislation to repeal Title 8.
Stomping your feet and issuing demands will get you nowhere.

If they won’t abide by federal laws terminate any and all funding for them. Laws are not optional/selective with respect to deciding which ones you’ll abide by. At least that’s how it works everywhere else in the country if you’re a just a citizen.
Fine with me. Or else secede. Then we don’t have to have their idiots in Congress, either. Just form your own little country.

Trump was elected specifically to deport as many illegals as he possibly could, and it’s just too damn bad that these happen to be your voters and the source of a lot of illicit funds that flow into your pockets and those of your fellow democrats. I hope this is going to get the Rs out to vote like never before. They are repeating what got them trampled in 2024. Rs know damned well what will happen if these crooks get their power back. A great motivator to get out the vote
