Hey Freepers in the path of stormagedden 2026....how ya doing?
Power outages? Impacts?
Here in north GA it's just a little chilly as we wait for the storm.
Stormageddon. The forecast for Columbia, Maryland is not as bad as what I experienced there in 2003. One Sunday in.......February, I think is was, I saw 32 inches come down and the temp did not get above 20 F.
The next Sunday it rained hard, and all the snow on the roof melted and some drained thru into my apartment. That was the first time I ever saw water dripping from a chandelier.
10 to 14 inches is expected from now to tomorrow night.
Been dealing with it since Thursday night. Flippin cold. Thank God its too cold to snow.
I kind of agree, but the storm isn’t here yet, and we don’t really know the impact yet. My problem isn’t the snow really, it’s the frigid temps for the next week or more. Close to zero every night for the next 4 or 5 days or so, here in NW Jersey.
Agree with the push polls. The local forecasts are getting closer, but still some variation. Guess it comes down to the model(s) being used.
It is never too cold to snow, just ask the Eskimos.
Zero is cold....I don’t care where you’re from.
I’ve got a big shipment coming from Austen. It’s stuck and delayed due to weather. I was hoping they would get it our before the cold hit.
I don’t know, but I’ve been told
Eskimo p____ is mighty cold
got a little snow in MO, but bitter cold
😂 so true! We’re putting the dog’s pet sweater on for her to sleep in her flannel blankie lined pet bed tonight.
-9 degrees this morning, currently 7 degrees. Too cold for ice fishing.
I can totally relate to playing with the faucets to get it just right.
😄 yeh, that too.
Hurry, get to the store while you can and empty the shelves.
We’re all prepped here in Cherokee. Hubby is away on a business trip so my son and his wife are hunkered down here with me.
Other son decided to stay home but he’s sick and I’m a little worried about him!
South-central Indiana, 39 miles almost due north of Louisville, KY, 6:30 PM Eastern Time, Saturday, Jan 24, +14 degrees Frnht., 1.1” of snow thus far. 16”+ snow forecast before Monday morning. No power outages to report.
lol! My house dogs are so spoiled. My barn dogs (Pyrs) have a warm spot (deep straw in the barn), but they will be folicking in the ice tomorrow no doubt.
Now they say we might have ice after 11:00 p.m. One of my Uptown sons is here, but he should get home before there’s any difficulty with the roads. We won’t have enough food if he gets stuck here.
I don’t know how we can live with this global warming.
