In fighter squadrons in the 80s & 90s, pretty much every other word out of a fighter pilot's mouth was a cuss word. There were a few who did not cuss, but they were rare.

They were all smart men but cussing was part of the culture - as was drinking.

I don't admire cussing. Wish I hadn't picked it up. Much easier to start the habit than to lose it. But while I wish I would stop it entirely and wish others would refrain, I was immersed in it for most of my adult life. And many of those men were outstanding men, worthy of respect.

I can think of other things in the modern world that bother me much more - many of which could be fixed by making it legal to punch an asshole in the mouth!

I think some people feign their being offended by a lot of things just for appearance’s sake. They must feel that it shows how refined and sophisticated their sensibilities are when it’s really the furthest thing from the truth.

Words communicate much. What comes out of the mouth reveals what is inside us. If all that comes out of you is swear words, what’s inside you?

I don’t care for swearing either. The words add nothing to the communication process. Think about it.

Some words are offensive to God, those I care about and those do show their heart. Once in awhile one comes out of me.
