I often post that people who use the “F” word were raised as gutter trash.
I rarely heard that word in public till the movies dumped the Hays Code and went to a joke of a ratings system (GMRX) to reign in violence. Instead it released a flood of the most vile movies ever made to get the “R” and “X” ratings.
So young people today mimic what they hear on the screen and think it is normal.

I knew rural people when growing up who considered the word “darn” to be as bad as “damn”, which was a forbidden word. The “f” word was so bad it was never mentioned in any way. Language changes over time.
