A software dev guy I used to have lunch with once in a while always sat in restaurants with his back to hard cover and his face to the door, and with his 9mm close at hand, unless the weather was cold enough that he felt no one would notice the bulk of his .45. I never asked him why he did that, just accepted it as one of his little quirks, but I’m glad this didn’t to him. It would have ended badly for a lot of people.
