The wheelchair may have simply been for convenience and to save time with 88 year old feet. Not a sign of imminent doom.
I’m only 69 but have neuropathy in my feet, plus asthma. If I had to fly back east to see what remains of my family, I would probably need to swallow my pride and also ask for a wheelchair just to navigate the acreage of a typical airport. The main goal being to reach my loading gate in time by whatever means.
SHE ALSO GETS PRIORITY LOADING
I’m 89 and walked through a bunch of airports a few months ago including the huge Atlanta airport. A little shoorter than Jane and prbably weigh about the same: 112.
As for “imminent doom” for Jane, probably not. In my reasonably OK shape, my MD expects me to live to be 100. II’m hoping for more years than that because who else in the world would put up with. Daisy, my bitchy cat? Bites me every day. if I don’t do it her way fast enough.
