The cities mentioned, and so many others in Asia are so polluted it’s amazing anyone can survive it.
Toxic air pollution 7 x 24. Toxic.
It’s not really 7x24 toxic, but a bit annoying at times. As I type this, I can look out the window and clearly see mountains 50 kilometres away.
I’ve lived in Jakarta for 38 years, am 81 years old, and have not been to a doctor since 1982, and that was just for an eye injury. I still, foolishly I suppose, smoke a pack per day, as do many of my neighbours who are near the same age as I. Lung cancer and emphysema are far less common here than in US. I suppose we are either all just lucky, or worn in by now!
