Well, could you have imagined the reaction the public had giving the Ken doll a penis in the 50’s? Talk about going out of business fast and being hauled into court and in front of Congress, too.
Back in the 1980s, somebody released a doll named “Gay Bob”. It was, among other things, touted as being “anatomically correct”. That was first time I ever saw that term ... and I wondered “Does that mean what I think it means?” (turns out: yes) and “Just how ‘correct’ did they make this thing?” (Never found out. Not sure I want to know.)
