The daughter got what she wanted. My totally unsolicited advice is that Maya should request to be an emancipated minor. If that is not workable the parents should basically just wait this out till she turn 18 because at that point they will not have to mess with the court system.
It is obvious the girl is mentally ill but the parents will not win the fight over her and the usual suspects determination that all her trouble stem from not being allowed to affirm her transgender status.
So the parents should let those who stirred up this hash be the ones to eat it.
