I liked her as a young Christian (she is about my age, I believe), but I lost all respect for her when she left her husband and took another woman’s husband. No one is perfect, of course, but there was never any remorse on her part or his. I don’t know if she was ever a real believer or not, or if she was just thinly talented and latched onto the Christian market because she couldn’t make it in the secular market. Then she became a cheerleader for LGBT, but by then I was no longer a fan anyway.
If I had to guess, I'd bet Amy's faith was as real as a teenager's could be before, in her adult life, she faced perhaps more worldly temptation in the music industry than we can relate. I'm not justifying her sin, I'm just saying that I can't relate to being around the constant sex/drugs/rockNroll culture of the music world. Much like I hope you or others would give me conviction, not condemnation, but with an understanding that, in my line of work, being around a bunch of fellow high IQ analytical programmers can lead to temptations in pride and such that maybe most others can't relate to. Especially back when I worked in the research industry.
