A couple of years ago, Matthew Hurley got the kind of text people fear.
It said: “When was the last time you were STD tested?”
Someone Hurley had recently had unprotected sex with had just tested positive for HIV.
Hurley went to a clinic and got tested. “Luckily, I had not caught HIV, but it was a wake-up call,” they said.
That experience moved Hurley to seek out PrEP, shorthand for preexposure prophylaxis.
...
Hurley started PrEP and all was well for the first nine months — until their health insurance changed and they started seeing a new doctor: “When I brought PrEP up to him, he said, ‘What’s that?’ And I was like, oh boy.”

Indeed, and amidst all the STD/STI CDC data, abstinence is ,missing as the No. 1 prophylactic. It is the only method that is 100% effective in preventing unintended pregnancy and STD transmission.
Moreover, in an aspect of PC liberal bias, the CDC has chosen to focus in race vs. practice, with the latter referring mainly to sodomy, though,
In 2021, gay, bisexual, and other men who reported male-to-male sexual contact accounted for 86% of estimated infections among all men (87% in 2022). Although only approximately 7% of adult and adolescent males reported having had male-to-male sexual contact at some point in their lives, over 80% of HIV infections among young males in 2019 were attributed to male-to-male sexual contact. and over over 63% of all [not just men] new HIV diagnoses. Overall, homosexual relations have (historically) resulted in a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases and effects besides HIV, from Meningitis to premature death. Moreover, I have not found any studies on STD infections among married monogamous couples versus nonmarried in the US, thus it seems that this is not something that the CDC judges worthy to pursue, but it does report that,
The 1995-1999 CDC STD Surveillance Reports state: “During the past two decades, the age of initiation of sexual activity has steadily decreased and age at first marriage has increased, resulting in increases in premarital sexual experience. …” Non-marital sexual activity with multiple partners is the singular cause of the proliferation of STDs and yet for some reason all CDC surveillance reports since 1999 omit the above statement and make no reference to marriage at all. Instead we get, “talk openly about STDs” and the obligatory, “use condoms.” (https://chicago.suntimes.com/2016/12/6/18344396/opinion-as-marriage-rates-decline-reports-of-stds-rise)
God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified (Mt. 19:4–6) - and Scripture only condemns homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with, by design and decree, precept and in principle. Yet there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. Acts 10:36-47
I have a 100% guaranteed foolproof method.
Just keep it in your pants.
I agree 100%. how about not putting your pickle in someone’s anus?
Wearing a rubber is NOT 100% effective.
Of course, that is why I included OR DON’T DO IT!
Regards,
The debate between RFK and the “Establishment” boils down to this: Spend money on healthy lifestyle
or spend money on SICKCARE which the Orwellians call Health Care.
New weight loss drugs are very expensive
STD/HIV medicines are very expensive
Cancer due to lifestyle choices is expensive
Newborn Preemies due to moms on drugs are very expensive
HHS (pre RFK) was focused on SICKCARE.
And we are ALL expected to pay for it in much higher premiums. That money doesn't just grow on trees in orchards owned by insurance companies.
THIS is why health insurance has gotten so outrageously expensive. The "no cost sharing" IS shared, but it's US who are responsible to do the "sharing."
Maybe the doctor was familiar with taking acetylsalicilic acid for pain and just wasn’t aware of the term “aspirin.:
The Nancy Reagan method: just say no.
To get tested twice a week?
Since PrEP for HIV was rolled out, rates for other STD’s have skyrocketed, many becoming antibiotic resistant, mostly in the queer population.
Unintended consequence are the bane of anyone’s good intentions.
Maybe. That’s a tricky one, right? LOL!
The pharmacist asks him if he means aspirin.
The man replies, "Yes. I can never remember that name."
That’s a great “Dad joke”. 😆
Neither do you or I or the majority of people have a so-called "HIV status" that the left wants to pin on us. That is part of the "AIDS is everyone's problem" campaign to make AIDS something that everyone would be recruited into and pay billions to keep alive.
I have no status any more than a single man has a "wife-beater status."
