I was talking to a Filipino friend who told me that his government condemned the operation as a violation of national sovereignty.

I find the Philippine attitude to be ironic. They won’t make a statement officially recognizing Maduro as legitimate President of Venezuela leaving themselves in limbo and yet act as if Maduro was legitimately elected when he was captured.

The EU countries are even more bizarre— they condemn the taking down of Maduro yet EXPLICITLY DO NOT recognize Maduro as the legitimate leader of Venezuela.
