His had not yet ruptured. You really want to deal with them before that.
I understand- but a blood test will show elevated white blood cell counts for an inflamed or infected appendix- it doesn’t have to rupture. Even an amateur could diagnose this with a blood test plus pain in the lower right side of the abdomen.
True story- my appendix ruptured the night before St Patricks Day, 1988....i was sick all night, vomited for 4 hours and i was in tremendous pain- but i guy i knew who had the same thing said the pain was so intense he wanted to die, so i thought, “it has to be worse than this” and figured i just had the stomach flu....eight days later i was still feeling crappy and finally went to the doctor...they took the blood test and said “anything over 10,000 white blood cell count means you have a problem with the appendix”...two minutes later they said, “your white blood cell count is 18,000- we have to operate now!!”
Almost 40 years later i still have a nice scar...
