Yes. Civil forfeiture before there is even a court date or conviction. Like NYC confiscating the vehicles of DUI suspects before there is even a trial. Asset forfeiture for restitution of a crime or recovering proceeds from a criminal enterprise after a fair trial are OK. You got a problem with recovering money stolen from the taxpayers?
