It's not going to freeze here on the beach thank goodness, but I threw a pillow case of each of my baby mangoes just in case. The wind is blowing a light gale and the gulf is absolutely kicking. Water is warmer than the air and some of the younguns were out in the chop earlier. I'm no longer allowed to do that.
It really feels like the dead of winter in Florida for once. Just covered my landscaping plants with sheets and had to fight the gusty wind all the way. Used heavy pots of cold harden roses to hold down the sheets. Now it’s time to chill out. 27 deg F expected between 1 AM and 7AM.
I had heard that there might be 'Gulf effect snow' along the Gulf coast in - I think - your area... sort of the same idea as 'lake effect snow' in Chicago and surroundings. No accumulation on the ground, just snow flurries. ❓
