“concealed” means “concealed” in every state regardless of actual law wording and other provisions. Don’t try to tell the judge you were just carrying “sort of concealed.” Don’t be “Printing” when talking to your bank teller lady——in any state. The floor might hurt your nose.

You can go look on your own. We have google. There are AIs that will help you.

Yes, in Wisconsin we do carry “sort of concealed”. Its only in strange authoritarian states that they come up with these ideas that one is better and the other should be illegal.

You arent “open carrying” if your weapon is partially concealed but “concealed carry” can not commit the crime of printing and it is not considered brandishing or anything else if the firearm is partially covered. If you are open carrying and your fire arm becomes partially covered then you still arent “printing” you are “concealed carry without a license”.

Heres a quick AI:

“Wisconsin law does not prohibit “printing” — the visible outline of a concealed firearm through clothing.

No legal restriction: There is no specific law in Wisconsin that bans carrying a concealed firearm if it creates a visible outline (”printing”) under your clothing.

Open carry is legal: Since open carry is permitted in Wisconsin, the visibility of a firearm is not inherently illegal.

Permit holders are protected: As long as you have a valid concealed carry license (CWL), you are legally allowed to carry, even if your firearm prints.

Public reaction may vary: While not illegal, printing can draw attention and potentially cause concern among bystanders. This may lead to police involvement if someone reports a disturbance, but the law itself does not prohibit it.

Is printing illegal in Wisconsin under any circumstances?

No, printing is not illegal in Wisconsin under any circumstances.

Wisconsin law does not define or prohibit “printing” — the visible outline of a concealed firearm through clothing.
Since open carry is legal in Wisconsin, the mere visibility of a firearm does not violate concealed carry laws.
As long as you have a valid concealed carry license (CWL), you are legally allowed to carry, even if your firearm is partially visible.

There is no legal requirement that a firearm must be completely hidden to be considered “concealed” under Wisconsin law.

In short: Printing is not illegal, but threatening behavior with a firearm is.”

We have different knife laws also. Here a knife is a tool, not a weapon. I can have a little razor hidden in a seam or I could strap a zweihander on my back. A blade only becomes a “weapon” and only is considered “concealed” if one uses it to commit a crime because this shows you had premeditated intent to commit a crime.

I will never have to tell a judge that because I can not be brought before a judge for the imaginary crime of “printing” as concealed carriers are allowed to “sort of concealed” carry.

These things are determined on a state level, not federal, and none of the states agree on exactly the same laws for arms any more than we all have the same traffic laws.

People are occasionally wrong but if youre going to get nasty you should at least put minimal effort into insuring the veracity of your statements.
