Perhaps this will encourage you to consider matters more reasonably:
Tulsi Gabbard under scrutiny for showing up at
FBI raid of Georgia election hub
{one paragraph} In October, the FBI strongly objected to a proposal by some House lawmakers to strip the bureau of its authority over counterintelligence operations and hand them over to Gabbard’s office, warning that the plan would sow confusion and undercut national security. In the end, the FBI retained its primary authority over counterintelligence.Admittedly this is NBC News with incredible bias on many points but it does outline some of the issues that I have raised.
Come down off you ivory tower and consider legitimate political issues within the actual framework of how they are being discussed in Washington.
.
You would do better to consult US Code Title 50 Sections 3024 and 3383 rather than NBC news.
DNI does retain CI authority.
She was probably there to see how well what she had been told from her own analysts matches with the facts on the ground, but probably also to corroborate for herself what Maduro has been saying. These are national security matters of the highest importance so I’m glad she’s there.
Many of us are interested in the truth more than appearances. More power to her.
Wow NBC News? Read about the US intel organization structure for pete’s sake. The ONLY issue is that there is a mix of US persons and foreign involvement. Since the fraud has both, both National Intel and law enforcement are involved. Not an ivory tower BTW, experience. Stripping counter-intelligence would place ALL intel activity under DNI. But it didn’t.
