In this aftermath photo, you can see the bus that was firebombed with hundreds of students behind it. The four tanks were lined up on the double yellow lines between the two pedestrian zones. If you zoom in, you see that most of the dead in this photo were on bicycles, so unlikely they were protesting… they were traffic that got in the way. These photos were all scytexed or repressed by western media.
