The latest “defense” is that the pistol is a Sig P320 - which allegedly has a history of “uncommanded discharges”.
Scenario - First round was Accidental Discharge while weapon was being seized/recovered. After first discharge, officer reacted by neutralizing perceived threat. This could explain delay between first shot and follow up shots.

Yes. Good summary. An AD of the perps seized SIG P320 started it all.
His choice of carry got him killed. They have a history of accidental discharges. Another SIG AD caused death.
