What are you smoking my pack of Beagles absolutely destroy the yearly cricket and cicada seasons here. They eat every one they can get their snouts on with great gusto we don’t stop them it’s dang fine protein for them. They also go to town on every rabbit pellet they find for that we stop them because Bordetella can be passed via rabbits to dogs and vice versa.
I grew up with chickens, ducks , pigs ,cattle and rabbit for livestock.
Chickens, ducks and pigs all will go to town on mealworms,or maggots on CO2 paddies and pig crap too. Pigs not only eat the maggots off cow paddies they eat the cow paddie itself with great gusto pigs love eating crap chicken droppings too.
In Asia chicken coups and human outhouses are set over pig pens for this very reason pigs eat cheap like it’s candy to them. Go to Vietnam rural Vietnam I 100% guarantee you will find coups and human outhouse over pig pens or fish ponds where the catfish eat the droppings the water boils when you drop #2 on the fish ponds. Thailand also for sure does this I saw it with my own eyes in both places.
