More identity politics from the left. She is too dense to realize how racist she sounds with that take. She assumes that all Hispanics favor illegal immigration and doesn’t seem to realize that people who have gone through the process of immigration in the LEGAL manner are as upset about illegal immigration as those of us who were born here. She also seems to be suggesting that only certain federal laws need to be enforced. Apparently, federal immigration laws can be ignored, but try to imagine if people were protesting and attacking IRS agents as they were trying to enforce federal tax law. I doubt she would be supporting those protestors. She and her fellow democrats would be telling us that “no one is above the law”. Anyone impeding the enforcement of federal tax law would be sitting in prison for a very long time with the full support of radical leftists such as Bass.
Karen Bass knows that she sounds racist.
She’s playing the “all people of color against white America” game that California leftists routinely use.
She’s trying to turn the large Latino population against any Latino who doesn’t put La Raza ahead of country.
When she says “no one is above the law” she is maybe thinking of different laws than the average citizen thinks of as “most important”. Sorry Bass, but I think the average laws for a citizen’s safety is more imortant to them than the ones that pertain to taxation. You really have to give equal consideration to both & I don’t think you look at that way necessarily.
