The idea of Peanuts is to center it in the child's world. The adults (even Miss Othmar) are largely a backdrop. Schulz tried have adults in a Sunday strip, and it just didn't work. There were occasional adult speech balloons, but eventually he figured out how to write the strip without those, too.
