We have a garage but no room in it for cars...
That’s an American problem apparently.
And while materialism may have a lot to do with that, I think there’s a car related aspect, too.
We no longer love our cars, do our own work on our cars.
When I was a kid, we had a two car garage.
And the garage was used by the family gearheads to work on the cars we parked in the garage.
Those were the days.
That’s most of my neighborhood but I got tired of that life.
Over the past couple of years I’ve made the garage useable again and plenty of space for the two vehicles.
They are out of the weather, locked in overnight and if out of town.
Once in a while, one of the neighbor’s cars will get hit since they park on the street.
