I’m 75 and still cutting, hauling, splitting and stacking. I I have 6 cords of dry seasoned oak and hickory stacked. I was very fortunate this year since about 2 acres of woods were cleared for building a house and I got all of the wood that was not sold for lumber, about half of what was cut. The tree service had to get rid of the logs that the mill won’t buy, and the building lot was only 1/4 mile away. The guys delivered it onto our property for free. Well, not really, 2 cases of beer. We probably have a dozen cords in addition to the 6 cords split and stacked. I won’t have to get firewood for the next 4 or 5 years.
That's awesome! You're who I wanna be when I grow up :-)
