What needs to happen is for all the current owners of natural gas systems (heat, water heat, cooktops and ovens) to gather together in a class action suit. Forcing them to give up all this infrastructure and replace it with electric is a taking under the Constitution and these people need to be compensated for that. In fact Colorado is on the hook for replacing all these systems in every home that uses natural gas. Suing them for billions (and I also would sue the environmental organizations) might get their attention.
