Too many witnesses claim to have seen Hitler after the event to accept this as credible.

I find it odd that people will accept this testimony from a fairly small number of people, but not the testimony of thousands of credible witnesses of UFO matters. It seems to based upon what they want to believe rather than the preponderance of the evidence.

Same thing with the Apollo landings.

The universe is a very large place for earth to be the only place with intelligent life. People believe what they want to believe until something smacks them in the face which can't be ignored. I know the government lies to us all the time. The government is to questioned on such things, but some people prefer to believe the government, the 2020 election was the most secure ever, Oswald alone killed JFK, Hitler died in the bunker, etc., because that's what they want to believe.
