The war is closing in on Odessa.

Missiles launched from long distances is not the same as taking Odessa.

Odessa is 'ungettable' by Russia. They would need more than 1 million troops for an offensive against Odessa, but then, that would mean 1 million casualties for the Russians. Russia can't afford to send 1 million troops to Odessa, since they no longer have that kind of manpower and no support for them.

Imagine how much damage Ukraine could have inflicted on Russian cities, if they were to do to Russia what Russia does to Ukraine. But, Ukraine saves their missiles and drones to attack Russian infrastructure and military sites.

Russia does things that are war crimes. Ukraine does things to hit the Russian military infrastructure where it hurts the most.

Just curious, why would you choose “adorno” as screen name?

The only well known Adorno was Theodor Adorno, a crypto communist infiltrator from the Franfurt school.

“Missiles launched from long distances is not the same as taking Odessa. “

There is no route to Odessa that doesn’t involve crossing wide, deep water. As long as there is a viable Ukrainian force on the other side, Russia won’t even try.

Russia cannot do what the US would do in this situation and historically they have never assumed a large water crossing or large aerial assault.
