For only $1 billion dollars I could have told Ford this would happen.

Manhattan Contrarian told them for free.

They would not listen. If you could have convinced them to pay you a billion, they might have listened!

The value of “free” advice, etc.

Along with Biden was the “climate change” scare, with high gas prices which were deliberately driven high, covid which caused supply chain collapse and other tactics which made the delusion that buying an EV vehicle was a good idea. Cheaper gas prices, no EV tax breaks, and ridiculous pollution regulations repealed, gas powered vehicles make more economical sense. Refuel in 5 minutes or less, drive 4 hundred miles or more without fear of not being able to refuel. Try that with an EV.

Meanwhile at the General Motors Company, Mary Barra still enjoys her “girl power”. Unfortunately, it’s the wrong kind and she’s no longer “too cute to fail”.

It’s a fad propped up by government subsidies. Once Uncle Sugar stopped the freeloading, sales slowed and corporate CEOs woke up. Never under-estimate the stupidity of your “fellow man.”
