It’s hard to see how this grows the audience. Some people might watch it if it’s available on channels they already get, such as broadcast TV. But they may not even think to watch it if they have to search for it on a subscription service, and then sign up for that subscription service to watch it.
I wouldn’t think about if something was on a subscription service. I am not gong to pay for a service just to only watch one show.
I like to look at a tv guide to see whats on or just hit the next channel button on the remote. I have an antenna hooked to the television. I also use some free websites like Pluto.
