The Chinese take the long view on most things and have great patience. They have no intention of invading Taiwan, if it takes another 50 years for reunification then so be it.
We are the ones wanting a war with China, one we cannot win under any conventional circumstances. Our Naval Fleet could be wiped by a barrage of Hypersonic Missiles very quickly.
Okay - some of your comments are insightful - that said there are plenty of Chinese hotheads and many Americans who don’t want a war. It’s more complicated than either of us is saying - and oddly, we both know that.
