Sigh. I appreciated Truman for his decision to drop the bombs, and his image as a Cold Warrior, but it was quite disillusioning to me to realize he was a party hack.

I liked it better when I admired and respected him more.

Well.

I certainly appreciate Ronald Reagan much more when he utters quotes like this one:

"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first."
