The people of color are only allowed on Nantucket during the summer season. When they are “allowed” access to mow lawns or replace the White Cedar Shingles on all the houses.
They are also allowed to bar tend, wait tables, change the linen(and I mean LINEN, or Egyptian cotton, no polyester allowed) and generally do the menial labor on the island.
