My wife and I spent our honeymoon on Cape Cod. We took a ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket and had a delightful time for a day. We even too a sailboat ride- think it was on a sloop? Scrimshaw, sailing history, quaint little shops. It was a good time for a day, back in June 1981….

Perhaps more people wealth on the vineyard, but homes are more expensive on Nantucket.

I always heard Nantucket was for old money that didn’t want to (or need to) impress and the Vineyard was for new and flamboyant, with the Nantucket houses being in families for several generations.
