You’re right about leaving him there. Depressing to know that criminals are safe from consequences in the US but are worried about prosecution of prison time in Third World countries.
One foreign born frequent defendant on the news a couple of years ago:
“We just love your American system of justice. Everything all the way goes to benefit the criminals.”
