So on a more general level, how do we approach the concept of any rogue members of the military committing crimes like murder, in the future?

Is it better to be open about the circumstances and the evidence, or should we always believe only what we’re told?

That is, should we apply common sense and intuition, or should we only trust the government to tell us what’s true and what’s not true?

In a murder case? Assume the prosecution is honest because they won’t be able to hide in court. Even if wrong or dishonest, no hiding. FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE! Which will not be fully publicized until a jury is listening.

What you do NOT do is start making wild accusations while ignoring things like DNA evidence and confessions that are already public knowledge!

And what in the HELL is this military crap? Military members fall under both the military AND civilian criminal courts. But there’s 0 indication of any military involvement.
