Involved, silly. Meaning they know it affects them and they do what they do to process it.
Of course the military considers itself involved when its members commit crimes.

The military is NOT “involved” in a crime if the person doing it has some previous or current association with the military. The military is not causing, agreeing to, supporting or helping in the criminal act, nor does it know or suspect it will happen.
So your definition is bullshit.
Further: Tyler Robinson is not “involved” in the military, nor is the military “involved” with him! This is the guy whose DNA was found at the site of the shooting.
