Former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris boasted that she’s a “historic figure” who will have “a marble bust” of herself sitting in the Capitol during an interview for a not-entirely-flattering New York Times profile.
According to Shane Goldmacher, “Ms. Harris is busy selling books — a lot of them. She is not yet selling herself. Old advisers, both allied and estranged, have squinted from afar at her book tour, wondering what exactly her strategy is, or if there is any at all.”
“She has done little to distance herself from former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. besides admitting aloud that it was ‘recklessness’ on her part not to have discouraged him from running again. There has been virtually none of the strategic repackaging that a future candidate typically does, the buffing out of flaws and shining up of strengths,” wrote Goldmacher, who continued:
Ms. Harris has made clear she doesn’t “feel burdened” — yes, she still uses that phrase — by where she fits in the punditry pecking order or the polls or the cable chyrons. She is enjoying the freedom from what she calls the “transactional” constrictions of campaigning, of asking people for a vote.
Her place in history is already secure, and she knows it.
“I understand the focus on ’28 and all that,” she said in the interview. “But there will be a marble bust of me in Congress. I am a historic figure like any vice president of the United States ever was.”
In other parts of the profile, Goldmacher observed that “in the year since [her loss], she has not capitalized on” the good will that last year’s campaign bought her, and suggested that “she has mostly been a bystander in the Democratic Party’s raging debate over its direction.”

AN historic figure. And this is a Journalist? LEARN E GLISH.
someone need to make a marble bust of her on her knees servicing her political johns.
Hey,Kommie...you might wanna check Mike Dukakis’s later years before you make any plans.
That reminds me. Many years ago there was a governor of Massachusetts named Peabody. Someone said there were three towns in the state named for him--Peabody, Marblehead, and Athole.
Kammy is a historical character, so is Monica Lewinsky
She is historic, all right, but not in a good way. She has the IQ of dust and can’t string a cogent sentence together without a teleprompter. Under her watch as “Border Czar”, over 10 million illegals manage to walk right into the US. The only thing that is more difficult to understand than how she became the Democrat nominee for President is why anyone would buy her book.
The first female and POC Vice President, a member of the rottenest and most half-assed administration ever to be in the White House, and in the running to be the least-qualified person ever to be one heartbeat away from the presidency. Oh, and one of the lamest presidential nominees ever, even including those who ran on third party tickets.
They are free to borrow that for the plaque for her marble bust. No charge.
She already has a marble (sized) brain!
Historic as in we’ve never had more of a blithering idiot as a vice president?
Historic as in she didn’t have to win a single primary to be nominated (selected) presidential candidate?
Historic as in everything about this laughing stock was a joke?
Her brain is the size of a marble, and just as dense.

That's one way to prevent age related sagging but seems like they would be hard on the back and knees.
Part of it is because Trump is a polarizing figure, someone like Rubio or DeSantis would have done even better and win more states like NH or NJ in 2024.
Well, historic as the first joke candidate that no one but the media wanted.
“Why is everybody starin’ at my Bust?”
Self-confidence is one thing...delusion is another.
A plastic bobble-head would be more appropriate than marble.
,,, yep, she's a loser.
