The engineering & building technology they had back then is just fascinating.
Simply moving some of the cut stones weighing 25 - 80 tons is beyond belief. Now they have found city block size chambers 3500 feet below.
I recall from my high school days illustrations of slaves pulling these large stone blocks over the sand on log rollers. I kinda think the folks that thought this up were weak minded.
I find the various water theories fascinating, potentially making it much more plausible to move these granite blocks. One way has a series of locks, like a canal. They'd work the blocks during one season, and float them using wood/etc as floatation devices during Nile flooding season to get them close to where they needed to be. Another system with water has them being floated up thru a channel of water, again with appropriate floatation material.

It can be done with 2 ton stones up a wetted 20 degreee incline. But fails with 20 tons or more as the weight crushes the logs.
