'I voted for this': TV shows with LGBT characters being canceled
World Net Daily ^ | December 8, 2025 | Bob Unruh

Those television shows featuring LGBT characters are being canceled right and left, and that means nearly half of all LGBT characters will be disappearing from television next season, a Protestia report revealed.

The confirmation actually comes from GLAAD, a high-profile LGBT lobbying group.

Among those departing will be 61% of transgender characters, the report said.

My wife really likes 'Brilliant Minds' on NBC(?). Turns out the main Dr character is a homo. Okay, he's not flaming, no lisp, whatever. Then his ex-lover surgeon shows up. I've had enough, watch what you want. Now apparently there's a 3rd sexual deviant on the show. I stopped recording it, she hasn't asked for it back.
Live your life, stay in the closet, stay away from children, don't try to convince the world that it's right and normal - you can do that when you meet Jesus.

There is a very rational reason that most “gayborhoods” form near hospital districts in large cities. I see it where I live. They need the extra medical attention. Removal of foreign object from orifices is probably a common occurrence.

Well, yeah ... what everybody says, but there’s a but.

There’s a right way and a wrong way to do the DEI thing. This is true for all of the “historically underrepresented” categories.

The right way is for the gay (or pick any of the other “historically underrepresented” categories) character to simply be present without making a fuss about it. Just put them in the scene. If you want a bunch of black characters, fine; set the production in a place that has a substantial black population so the representation is natural, not shoehorned in via fantasy casting and blackwashing.

In my experience, most gay (or black or hispanic or Asian) people in the real world dress and behave pretty much like everyone else. They’re trying to make a living and get along, pretty much like everyone else.

What the activist groups really want is for there to be a gay SUBPLOT in every show or film. And the gay character has to be either the hero or a victim, because every movie or show has to be a gay propaganda piece.

Props to the occasional insurgent who defies the mandate to prioritize The Message and makes the gays the key villains.

Mike White (The White Lotus) got some criticism from the left for Armond (season 1); “Hey, he’s one of US, and he’s not supposed to do that.” He got away with it because he himself is gay, and he made it clear he was not writing anybody’s propaganda, and on that show, nobody gets to be a Mary Sue; the only real question is whether you survive so you can limp away as walking wounded from your Vacation From Hell.

Then there’s Ricky Gervais, who only got away with roasting Hollywood the way he did a few years back because he himself is gay.

I really like NYPD Blue, but the gay subplots were just tiresome.

They were sure to have a permanent “gay” character at the 15th to make sure we noticed.

Ricky isn’t gay.

Word on the set was, “Don’t turn your back on Raymond Burr”.

I was shocked to learn that Raymond Burr (Perry Mason, Ironside, etc.) was most likely a homosexual. I didn’t know that Van Cliburn was homosexual until about 20 years ago. And I grew up in Fort Worth.

These are the types of “gays” that I can respect and be around. They are extremely private. I think it does their careers good.

I agree....it’s the ones who flaunt it that make me sick!

The thing about entertainers, actors, singers and other extrovert personality types is that a much higher percentage of them ARE GAY.
More importantly, an even larger proportion of the creative talent in show business are gay (see Truman Capote, Cole Porter, Noel Coward, etc,).

It's easy for the behind-the-scenes folks to slip in subtle bits that advance "The Message".

Remember this goody?

A couple month ago I sat down to watch the debut of a new show. Within the first minute the scene was of two guys enjoying a nice long kiss. Turned it off and haven’t bothered with it since.

It’s good and all, but the shows still suck just the same.

Yep, that's True.

Same with the Acorn Series (Aussie)... A Place To Call Home...Amazon series, Sons of Anarchy...so many more.

My wife and I sit, watch and wait...when will the gay couple show up?

Good examples. My reference case has always been Jim Nabors. He was gay but, as far as I know, lived quietly and kept his private business private. Everyone knew he was gay. Nobody cared.

You may recall that he sang Back Home Again in Indiana at the Indianapolis 500 for many years, until he became too old to continue. He had a beautiful singing voice and he completely owned the song; this is the cover that most Hoosiers will still fondly recall today.

There was a one year break. Some idiot decided it was time to out Jim Nabors in the interests of normalizing homosexuality, and the people in charge of the 500 got nervous about how race fans would react. The apparent assumption — and it’s disappointing that the owners didn’t know better, but I guess too many decades of elite status had addled their brains — were afraid of what 300,000 drunken Hoosier rednecks might do when a gay man was introduced. They asked Nabors to step aside and brought in a ringer.

I was there that year, so I can tell you what 300,000 drunken Hoosier rednecks did when the replacement was introduced. Someone started a chant, “We Want Gomer, We Want Gomer.” It rolled in waves around the track. Gomer was back the next year, and remained until he got so feeble that he couldn’t even lip sync it anymore.

Jim Nabors never had any Indiana connection that I know of, aside from that annual appearance, and I don’t know how he first landed the gig. But I like to imagine that if he wasn’t properly Hoosierized before, he was fully baptised in Hoosier Hospitality that day and was one of us in spirit going forward. Of course, he broke out as an actor in Mayberry, North Carolina, and the USMC, so he was pretty well culturally acclimated to the real America.

Same with me for Downton Abbey, which pushed a queer character on the very first episode.

I have a general policy of waiting a minimum of 15 years before deciding to watch any TV series or movie produced in Hollywood. It helps filter out the most egregious woke crap.

I made an exception and watched the TV series Downton Abbey last year, only 13 years after it began broadcasting.

It was overall OK, but even that had to have some standard woke/elitist/deep-state faggotry propaganda in it.

I hear that a lot of the college girls play for both teams these days.

I've heard that they're called "BUGs" ... bisexual until graduation.

Yes, I see you are right. I stand corrected.

Now I suppose I have to watch a bunch of gay comedians to find a replacement example, unless you can suggest one offhand.

Nice story. And a great example of how normal people can respect and accecpt unobtrusive homosexuals who have obvious talent.
