It’s true; we Christians ARE too judgemental. OTOH, where do you draw the line? Jesus ate with tax collectors, who were considered among the lowest forms of humanity. He had compassion on prostitutes. But He did NOT eat with idol worshippers, or eat food dedicated to idols. But He did preach how to be saved to sinners of every stripe. Our job as Christians are to be as much like Jesus as possible; most of us fail miserably at that, yet He loves us and has mercy on us anyway. It is possible to love the ungodly, because Jesus does that, and we’re to follow His example.
Jesus had compassion on the repentant. His message was always “Go and sin no more” (John 8:11). He was not as pleasant towards anyone who brazenly flaunt sin.
