Left-led UK government follows up attacking Magna Carta and frequent social media arrests by announcing it is yet again postponing elections and moving to introduce a nationwide facial camera recognition system.
Brexit leader Nigel Farage eviscerated the left-wing British government for piling depredations upon depredations on the British people, as they announced yet another postponement of local elections without good reason, on the same day they moved to roll out China-style facial recognition cameras.

Policing minister Sarah Jones was cited by The Daily Telegraph as having hailed the rollout of cameras as a major leap-forwards in the ability of the government to find criminals, including sex criminals and illegal migrants. She said facial recognition cameras are “the biggest breakthrough for catching criminals since DNA matching”.
Stalwart defender of individual privacy and liberty Silkie Carlo, the director of Big Brother Watch, warned the government was in the process of turning the country into an “open prison” where innocent members of the British public are subjected to the “risk of misidentifications and injustice”.

Hmm. Canceling elections out of fear of being ousted from power. Where have we seen that before? At least they're not using the fig leaf of martial law.
As far as the bolded two items, its the latter that is the intended income.
Interestingly enough, it was a Brit who proposed the idea of a panopticon.
The Deep State wants this for the US as well. Think about the talk about apps and vaccine cards during Covid, along with denials of being able to work or shop, and in the case of NYS, the proposals to haul off people against their will.
They have also shredded Magna Carta.
No jury trials for any offense with less the. 3 year prison sentence.
Postponing elections? That’s what they used to do in East Germany and what they still do in North Korea.
I thought Breitbart might be overplaying what is happening so I read other sources including the BBC. Even the BBC reporting doesn’t show Labour as having a good justification for delaying the elections. Labour ministers’ answers on the delay in Parliament question time are a vague muddle with no specifics. This is a prime example of what happens when a voting population becomes uninterested in politics and is more interested in economic “safety” than freedom. They are lulled into accepting whatever the increasingly authoritarian government dishes out.
This is just horrible to watch!

No, more like a face plant.
They already know these things.
Cops and judges knew about and allowed the ongoing rapes of children.
They have known and currently know where the illegals are. They’re putting them up into hotels.
... these things, they perpetuate.
The “criminals” they want to “find” are those who post, print and say wrongthink and those are the only ones they will find.
The rapists and invaders (repeating myself) will continue doing just as they have been doing.
I could probably be one of those “crimminals”, merely for posting these observations... if I lived in England (I don’t), or if I take vacation to England (No thank you).
Don’t forget Ukraine. Zelynskyy suspended elections there, too. For same reason — tyrants can’t stand honest elections.
The only fix is gonna be the King. He has to step in and dissolve the gov’mt. force an election now. If Charles does not do it William will.

If only someone had made a television show about a 15-minute city, a village of sorts, with omnipresent surveillance, where people were treated as numbers!
Then everyone would of course have known to avoid such a fate!

OK, maybe that’s a stretch. Maybe it would have to be explicitly pointed out that the would-be rulers want to make everywhere like this TV place, some dialogue like:

Not exactly. It is true that a given parliament’s “term” is 5 years, after which elections have to be called. But lots of times there are votes of no confidence that result in elections being called earlier. Or a governing party, riding a high of approval, calls a snap election early in order to gain even more seats.
In any case, the elections being referenced in this article are for local elections for mayor, not for parliament.

No jury trials mean they can impose their will down to your speech - if you don’t kowtow to the “state’s talking points” they can put you in jail for 3 years.
That’s MORE oppressive than China or Russia.
