IU = best football coach in America; college or pro....but they don’t match OSU man for man...
JMU is becoming a coach factory. Next one coming out is good as well.
I am an OSU fan but will admit Cignetti has done a remarkable job of quickly putting together a winning program taking advantage of NIL, transfers , and university support. Indiana may not have the star quality players but their starting 22 has no weak links and play at a level higher than talent level. Given OSU will have a bit of an emotional let down after beating Michigan and given the news of Brian Hartline leaving, a toss up game will swing to Indiana by 10 points.
1) Ohio State is only #52 in SOS.
2) Indiana is #60.
3) Georgia is #34.
4) Texas Tech is #64.
5) Oregon is # 50.
6) Ole Miss is #49.
7) Texas A&M is #44.
8) Oklahoma is #13.
9) Bama is #17.
10) Notre Dame is #33.
Maybe, just maybe, IU's performance is because they haven't played the kind of gauntlet that the Sooners and Bama have played. In the playoffs when IU and Ohio State have to play other big boys, how well will they do? Maybe one of them will keep shining because they are that good. Or maybe they'll get exposed as looking good only because of their middle-of-the-pack competition. We'll see soon.
The whole may be greater than the sum of the parts. Go Hoosiers! I joked earlier this week that Purdue has become a basketball school and Indiana has become a football school lol.
