Prince Harry took a jab at President Trump during his awkward appearance on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” as he teased Americans over their obsession with the royals.
Harry crashed Colbert’s monologue at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC on Wednesday night when the late-night host poked fun at the various “problematic” Christmas-themed movies centered around royalty — just hours after it was announced his father-in-law, Thomas Markle, was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
“I genuinely thought this was the audition for the Gingerbread Prince saves Christmas in Nebraska,” Harry quipped as he walked out onto the stage.
Harry joked he wanted to go into acting because he knew how “obsessed” Americans were with Christmas movies and royalty. Colbert dismissed the claims, which set the Duke of Sussex up for the scripted response.
“Really? I heard you elected a king,” Harry said while boos and groans erupted from the audience.
“That’s a fair point, no, he’s got a point,” Colbert told booing audience members.
“And often making such a big deal about my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather George III,” Harry said about the king of Great Britain at the time of the American Revolution.
The 79-year-old president was again referenced, but never named, when Harry listed what he would do to land a role on Colbert’s fictional Hallmark movie.

Kick this loser Brit out!
It is (however imperfectly) in our nature to bend the knee before Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords.
To some extent, that influences our attitude towards merely human authorities whether they call themselves kings or sheikhs or presidents or ...
Well in his case the answer is quite obvious; SHE happened.
He’s a Deep State tool.
The question is why does at least one Deep State have it in for the House of Windsor...
Harry has always been a menace.
“However, I do agree with him that any fascination Americans have with anything British is dumb. Especially with “royalty.”
I think it’s more the entertainment value.
You are right! Everybody DOES hate them...on BOTH sides of the atlantic.
Harry may be an idiot. But I'll still prefer him over his brother. Harry is a rebel so that makes him more of an "American".
The Royals (William and Charles) are supposed to advocate for their country but they have failed to do that.
Meanwhile, the UK’s Deep State has just cancelled more elections...
And what do we hear from the House of Windsor...?

Hey Harry, does the missus still have your testes in a lockbox up on your mantle?
Benny Hill....Monty Python....Mr Bean....?
When you are a guest in a country, you should not criticize the leadership and expect no consequences. Harry can take himself back to the UK with or without his obnoxious wife.
I admired and respected Queen Elizabeth. All her progeny have failed her.
The Monarchy is very boxed in both by tradion and parliamentary restrictions*. I am told they do their advocacy behind the scenes. If it comes out they’re do8ng that it’s a minor scandal. That happened recently, supposedly (UK papers reported it.) Charles gave Sttarmer a “dressing down” over the governments treatment of farmers.
* The last Blair parliament removed almost all of the Monarchy’s “reserved powers”. It used to be much easier to call new elections.
HE CAN BE BOOTED OUT AT THE DROP OF A HAT——
“I think it’s more the entertainment value.”
It’s more than that. Despite all the obvious dysfunction, a good number of Americans literally want to *be* part of that royal world. An acquaintance who works in college-applicant guidance at an upscale private high school told me that over the past 15 years there’s been a big surge in American students enrolling at University of St Andrews in Scotland. I asked why. He explained that in most cases their moms are obsessed with St Andrews alumna Kate Middleton and are sending their kids over there literally with the idea of duplicating Kate’s feat of meeting and marrying some royal or royal-adjacent.
Harry..... or Colbert?!
Father Charles or brother William?
He’s like a Hunter Biden, born into a well known family and simply failed to take advantage of the role and leg up. Saying they are mediocre humans is charitable.
She did a lousy job raising her children, obviously.
