If the Republicans plan to survive the midterms and hold their majority their approach must be methodical and precise.
Goal: Get the base to turn out in large numbers.
Tactic 1: Focus groups with the base around the country to find out what their top issues are.
Tactic 2: If the base is telling the administration that changes need to be made the administration needs to make those changes. Quickly—and with massive publicity.
Tactic 3: Generate standard talking points that are converted into consistent messaging on sympathetic platforms.
Tactic 4: Rinse and repeat with party gatherings of all kinds.
If you focus on turnout of your base you win in midterm elections. If you fail to do so you lose.
I think a winning issue is dumping the Real ID. It’s confusing and arbitrary state by state.
