Apparently Walther Arms is "reengineering" and "modernizing" which likely means outsourcing overseas but also hopefully offering a version in 9mm Parabellum / Luger (versus .380 / 9mm Kurz).

maybe they can re-enginner a 22 pistol that doesn’t jam every 3 -4 rounds. I sent it back, twice, still unreliable.
to be fair, the other walther pistol I have runs fine.
My EDC is a Walther PPS Model 1 with extended magazine. Awesome handgun, REALLY good handgun.
I think you’re probably wrong on both counts, but apparently it’ll be a while so who knows for sure.
1. The current (now prior) version had German slide, USA frame (Ft. Smith, Arkansas).
1a. Walther recently began expansion of its Ft. Smith facility. This suggests all USA manufacture to avoid tariffs and control end cost.
2. It would really be a serious re-engineering feat to reconfigure that small thing to a Browning action vs. blowback. Doing that and handling 9x19, wow. Hope you’re right though!
Lack of a 9mm stopped my interest. Have a hard enough time thinking of the 9mm as a stopper.
Yeah, .45 ACP since forever.
Read of PPK users complaining of it being uncomfortable to shoot, something about edges, etc.
I bought a new PPK and it was a huge disappointment. I couldn’t fire more than 2-3 rounds and it would stove pipe. I took it back several times to the local shop owner/smith and he couldn’t fix it. Traded it for a Baretta 84F, which I loved.
A message from Purgatory from 007, “I am not pleased nor is my majesty the queen. She made it to heaven and I still wait for final judgement. She is pulling for my release and can be very persuasive.”
Fix the bite, cam the barrel.
I have a pre S&W PPK (no/s) that I’ve been carrying for 25 years. I’ve never had a problem with it.
