I've wondered if “the thousands of abducted ukranian children” were actually rescued from the uke child trafficking operation?

Recently Melania announced that she and Putin were working together to get children (abducted? other?) back to their parents. I don’t remember the details, other than a very vague memory that during the course of the Special Military Operations in Ukraine, Russians found children and for safekeeping brought them to Russia.
I have read before that Ukraine had “orphanages” which were actually stolen children, who were sold to buyers.
