Re PARKINSONS:
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive condition affecting the central nervous system, leading to tremors and coordination issues due to the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells. Current treatments primarily focus on managing symptoms rather than providing a cure.
Research suggests a potential link between dietary nicotine, particularly from the Solanaceae plant family (such as peppers and tomatoes), and a reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease, especially among those who do not smoke.
While nicotine may help protect brain cells that produce dopamine, studies using nicotine patches have not proven effective as a treatment for Parkinson’s, and more research is needed to confirm its safety and effectiveness.

Brian Cole Jr. is identified by news outlets as the D.C. pipe bomb suspect.
The FBI cites surveillance footage, clothing details, and continues seeking public tips.“These pipe bombs were viable devices that could have been detonated,” said FBI’s D’Antuono.
Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old man from Woodbridge, Virginia, has been named by top news networks, from CNN to NBC News, as the suspect in the highly publicized Washington D.C. pipe bomb case.
NBC News reached out to Cole’s family members seeking comment, and a family member made the first brief comment after the arrest, indicating that he had spoken with the FBI.
The suspect’s step-grandfather, Earl Donnette, “said in a brief phone call to NBC News that he spoke with the FBI about his step-grandson,” the network reported. However, Donnette declined to make additional comment, NBC News reported, and Brian Cole Sr., Cole’s dad, declined to make any comment at all, NBC News reported.

thanx for sharing this info, melian
I know this has been said before but the Nic-O-teen gum is harmless and might help prevent dopamine loss. I am experimenting with the gum myself, its not terrible tasting though has a weird aftertaste, to me anyway.
Thanks for the Parkinson’s info. We’ve seen some talk of
nicotine helping, but have not looked into it in detail yet.
